Yup…added two more to the schedule, continuing our series of Thursday nights at starlite bar and gallery in Southbridge, MA…May 12 and June 2, we’ll be back each night doing three sweaty sets of music and poetry.  It’s gonna be great as always….

We’re putting together a bill of some friends and favorites for a show at the Ship Room, the weird and wonderful Prohibition era venue inside the Hotel Vernon in Worcester MA for Friday, May 13th.  Oldest bar in the city, built in 1901, former watering hole of the illustrious Babe Ruth.  Come for the cold beer piped in through copper from the basement kegs, stay for the ghosts and the madness that is Kelly Square.  Other bands TBA. Stay tuned…

and the world’s your oyster…Yeah, it’s not as catchy as One Night In Bangkok, but what is?

You missed a SHOW last night if you didn’t come out to starlite gallery and bar for three tremendous sets of Duende Project originals.

Featured the starlite premiere of  the dub-inflected “Neighborhood Bar” to great acclaim, and the even more well received first-time-anywhere performance of “Blood Or Blues,” a duet from Tony on poem and Chris Lawton on the three string electric cigarbox guitar — which segued right into a blistering full band version of “Hell’s Ditch,” lovely little ditty on the joys of working the woolen mills of a New England mill town (shout out to anyone reading from the days of Schuster’s Mill in Douglas, MA).

Starlite, 39 Hamilton St, Southbridge MA.  9 PM roughly for a start.  Three smoking sets of all originals.  Be there!!!!  We even got press for it!

Productive practice yesterday — got a new piece down that will feature Chris Lawton on electric 3-string cigar box guitar!  You can catch its debut Thursday, March 10, when we play three sets of our original music and poetry at starlite, 39 Hamilton St, Southbridge, MA.  9 PM.  See you there!

Played to a small but enthusiastic crowd at the Spot Underground in Providence, debuting a new piece (“Neighborhood Bar” — see the video here) and featuring Steve on keyboards as well as bass.  He’ll be learning to play the sousaphone over the next week or so, I suspect.  Guy’s a monster.

Other great bands on the bill: Bad Fogelberg, Kris Hansen, Deceiving Texture, and Nate Cozzolino and the Lost Arts.

At the Spot tonight, Pine Street, Providence RI!  We’re on a multi band bill and will be ripping up a whole buncha stuff including new thingies.  Come out and see us!!!

Two new tracks are up on our Soundcloud site — the place where we occasionally post demos of things we’re working on or special projects.

There’s a brand new demo of a piece called “What You Said.”  Bit of a love poem, that one…

There’s also a link to our track “Falconers,” which was recently featured on the Indiefeed Performance Poetry podcast.   It’s a tribute to librarians, and specifically to Wess Mongo Jolley who created and curated the site for many years and who is now retiring from both that and his daily job to pursue other interests.  Good luck, Mongo…!
